This past week we had the honor to work with New Jersey Bride magazine on a photo shoot for it's upcoming Fall/Winter issue. The wedding shoot was set at the stunning Ryland Inn https://rylandinnnj.com/
It was wonderful to be back at The Ryland Inn. This restaurant and venue has a very special place in my heart as it's where Tim and I were engaged in August of 2004.
The theme of the photo shoot centered around icy blues, blushes and wood tones. Our job was to design decorated mini cakes and donuts - boy, was that a sweet job!
We created two versions of mini cakes. In the first version, we used a non-traditional shape and gussied it up with gorgeous, intricate piping and embellishments, highlighted with metallics. In our second version of mini cakes, we took a major spin on the popular candy cakes and created a very elegant version that complimented the sophistication of The Ryland Inn.
Next ... the donuts! Talk about fun. Donuts are a huge hit at weddings these days. We added some unusual culinary elements to make for standout dessert item.
Here are a few photos that were taken by the team at New Jersey Bride and stylist/blogger Kristin of Details of I Do. Be sure to pick up your copy of the magazine as soon as it hits the stands!
