Your wedding cake is an especially important part of your wedding planning. If you’re ready to start planning your wedding cake with us, here’s what you need to know:
1. Confirm our Availability
Call us at 201-927-4293 or use the Contact Form to say hello, confirm our availability for your wedding date, and choose a preferred appointment time.
We are happy to offer the option of in-person consultations with a cake tasting at our northern New Jersey wedding cake shop, or virtual consultations to just chat about your ideas and answer any questions you might have
3. Cake Tasting & DESIGN
Our cake tastings typically consist of 6 to 7 different flavors of cakes and 12 to 13 different fillings, which are plated separately. I will guide you during the process to try different combinations for the perfect selection. The cakes and fillings range from our most popular to seasonal to unique.
Curious about our cakes and fillings? Everything we make is from scratch. We pride ourselves in cakes that are moist, not too sweet, and flavorful. Our fillings are light, yet full of flavor, too.
Cake tastings take place with our in-person consultations. We feel in-person cake tastings offer the best possible experience.
Cake tastings are $45 for 3 guests and $50 for 4 guests. Please inform us if there are nut or latex allergies for those who are attending the cake tasting.
For the design process, feel comfortable knowing that we don't need a final design at our consultation in order for you to secure our commitment to work together. Intricate, detailed designs may take some time to work through. Other designs, though detailed, may be able to be completed at our consultation. I look forward to guiding you every step of the way.
For the sketching process, a rough sketch is drawn out at our cake tasting and design session. Where a more comprehensive sketch is necessary for complex cakes, detailed sketches are provided after the initial payment and contract. All sketches are the property of My Daughter's Cakes.
4. Let’s Work Together
Love Everything? You can book your wedding cake at our appointment or you can take a few days to think about the options presented. Either way, the booking process is very simple. I will ask for some information for the contract. Your initial payment is one-third of the cost, with the balance 30 days prior to your wedding. We accept all major credit cards, Venmo or Zelle.
