Roses are red, and red they were when it came to last week's wedding cake. This stunner was delivered to Nanina's In the Park in Bellville, New Jersey.

What I love most about this cake is the bold display of color against an off-white background. Here, the sugar flowers do the decoration and no additional side design is needed. Note, though, a very subtle design on every other tier would be gorgeous, too, but surely is not necessary.  A smattering of calla lilies and blossoms in sugar added just the right height and unexpected subtle angle.

Three luscious cake flavors delighted the guests, with a fourth cake flavor for the bride and groom to enjoy later.
